Business as Usual

I replaced the news function at Torn World with a feed from our LJ community. Much cleaner and less to update. Leveled up in RSS. Poking at setting up PA and FP feeds.

Art and Authoring

I've decided not to do NaNoWriMo. I instead have a few more minor goals for November:

~Finish City of Lights (3 parts)
~Finish covers for CoL (3, black and white ink)
~One complete character commission (booked)
~Finish logo commission
~Sketch for mural
~Finish Mere's paperdolls
~Finish EMG-Zine anthology
~Finish steampunk coloring book

I've been asked to do an 8' x 8' mural for a dance studio. I'm very excited about this... I'm thinking a henna-style single-colored piece - it shouldn't be too distracting a piece, and I'd like to be able to finish it in my lifetime. Shall see!

Home and health

Still feeling the good effects of the hot springs. I'm really very iffy on going to the hot springs in the summer - it's just too warm to sit out in them. But winter hot springs are really something else. Your hair gets all frosty and you have to balance what's sticking out of the water with what's under the water overheating. Every so often you have to dip your ears back in when they get tingly cold. Every time I visit, I mean to bring fun noodles or other floaty things - and I always forget them. Jake and I are planning to go on Thursday - maybe THIS will be the time I remember.

Jake's out of town for a few nights. Boo. I'm going to go work out tonight - taking it easy and sitting in the steamroom for a good while. Then I have to pick up water and do a load of laundry. I'll probably grab another load of water right after I start laundry, because I like driving my own car so much better and otherwise I have to drive the truck to work to pick up water again tomorrow. Get it over with! I see lots of laundry (I've been putting it off...), StarGate Atlantis, and artwork in my near future.
