Wednesdaily, with many fairy tales...

Today is all fairy tales, starting with a basically painless parent aide day at preschool. Guppy was, if not a perfect angel, at least not the opposite.

First, I finished mizkit's gorgeous new book, Roses in Amber* If you like the tale of Beauty and the Beast, this may be the one you've been looking for. Lush, with perfect notes of excitement, sensuality, epic grandeur, thwarted fae, and all the rags to riches I've always loved of the story, plus a few little easter eggs that made me laugh out loud.

If you have not yet read it, ursulav's Summer in Orcus is available in full now. (And has been for some time, but I'm out of touch. Sorry.) It is a quirky, surreal adventure quest with a plucky young heroine and the fascinating worldbuilding you should expect of Ursula by now.

Speaking of fascinating worldbuilding, rix_scaedu wrote Revelations and Change to my prompt, and it is amazing. I hope it is continued!!

Chrysoula is also spinning an epic fairy tale - on Facebook, follow the tag #orioletale. (Chrysoula, if you have a landing page, tell me. If not, you need one!)

And in real life fairy tales, a very happy birthday to talkstowolves! She has been an absolute lifesaver in my social media life, and is the driving force behind SO many improvements at EMG. She is the source of the artist spotlights, and the archive features, and has helped step out on Twitter and Tumblr and Pintrest... and more than any of that, she has been an inspiration to me, reminding me of all the beautiful things EMG has enabled over the many years and keeping me on task when things need to be done. She has taken so much off my lap that I feel I've been able to do more creatively and administratively. It's hard to overstate how important that's been. Thank you, Deborah, Geek Dame Extraordinare. (She has a Patreon, too...)

And one last fairy tale from our last trip:

This was our own private little beach for a little more than a week. (During low tide!)

Ellen, you have a Tumblr! *follows*

(Don't follow mine back, it's full of politics and profanity)

Ah, thanks for the link to Ursula Vernon. I know her mostly for her art, but am looking forward to reading her writing. :)

Edited because I had a brain fart and thought I was commenting on someone else's blog. Sorry. :p

On the topic of Revelations and Change, if you're still interested in seeing more of it, I encourage you to drop by Rix's current prompt request and say as much. :)
