Tuesdaily rocks!

So much awesome today!

It was preschool day, and that went swimmingly. I left feeling a bit anxious, with 8 or 10 clingy 'one more hug and kisses!', but came back to a glowing report of great behavior and lots of smiles and happy excitement about what she got to do today... and other moms and dads smiled and said it was nice to see us again and I didn't feel like they were just being polite! I am on the shy side of social, and usually go away from conversations thinking back over all the stupid things I said, and all the clever/socially acceptable things I should have said, and generally feeling like a foolish oaf, so it's nice to think I may actually be making friends despite myself. <3

Posing with a shoe. On the cat cylinder. For some reason.

I also got another 900ish words on my story, packed up two orders, did a big shopping trip, picked up mail from the post office, designed and ordered new promotional postcards, started laundry (about to move them to the dryer), and cleaned up the house.

In business-y things, I am upgrading the coloring book order page, significantly. I just have too many titles to list them all full-sized on one bloated page anymore. Here's a non-official look at one of the pages I'm closing in on: http://www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/coloringbook.php?id=66

Now I'm doing the last of my Amazon restock (wait until I share photos of that!), and then there will be post-nap ice cream.

I love her expression, "Eww, stinky shoe!" :D

I am with you on the social stuff, though these days I am less anxious about it after because I am getting that people don't really remember that sort of thing. Like I went to the Walters art museum (by myself, which provoked anxiety, but I really wanted to see the art exhibit that was closing at the end of January) and was chatting with the nice lady who was getting info on who all was coming in ("How many in your group?" stuff). Sometimes I blurt stuff just because I feel I need to make conversation. Silly thing I said, "Do they sell sketch books at the gift shop?" when I was going to go and look myself, anyways. She said I'd have to ask the gift shop gal.

What was I talking about? Oh, I got a lot of inspiration for coloring book pages. The art was SO tiny, Ellen, it was incredible! You thought my stuff was small, the artists would get a whole painted detailed scene in maybe 5 x 7, and all the little tiled patterns for the floors and walls in the art, jsut boggling. They had magnifying glasses to use. When I went to the Greek section I had to sketch some of the really wonderful patterns on the urns. Coloring book borders! And I know these are out of copyright *haha*
Speaking of pages, I gotta go and work on one, slacking, I am slacking!

Hooray for the day!

While going through my files I found a picture of Tiny Wee Baby Guppy. Look at her now! \o/

Hooray, congrats on an excellent and busy day! As another member of Club Socially Awkward, I know how great it feels when the social stars align and things go well.

Aw, I can practically see Guppy growing in each of your pics. It's going so fast now!

And yeah, I know what you mean about interacting with other people, for what it's worth, they just don't seem to pick up on all that we tend to worry about and overanalyse afterwards.

Good to have you back. :)
And good to know I'm not the only social idiot out there. X)
