They also had face painting, and Guppy astonished me by sitting still to have Rainbow Dash painted on her fact. I chased her around all day with the camera trying to get a shot of it, but didn't succeed until we got home:
The driveway continues to melt, but nice and slowly, not the horrible runoff that we suffered through last spring. It's still freezing at night (I haven't uncovered my garden), but the snow is getting lumpier, and dirtier, and generally disappearing day by day. It's lighter in the mornings again, which feels awesome. It's barely getting dark at night now - just a dim, blue twilight at the darkest.
I've been doing more promotional things for coloring books - contacting retailers for some of the specific titles, working up the forms for submitting them to Powell's and the like, and investigating actual distribution. Serious stuff.
If there are retail stores near you that you think might be a good fit for my line, let me know! I'll send them a postcard and see if they'd be interested in carrying them!
Art to work on now - I'm detesting the color on this piece, but need to finish it, not just sit on it forever being scared. *sighs*
