And, while we were there (at Sears), we looked at cribs, because Guppy is thiiiiis close to being ready to pull up, and my personal experience, in that very cradle, was to unexpectedly pull myself up and dump myself out onto the floor. Mom says that was traumatic, so I'm going to try to bypass that experience and put Guppy in a crib sooner than later. It makes me very sad to put the cradle away - it has such layers of family memory at this point! And shark sheets! Anyway, the crib (convertible to toddler bed) and mattress and one set of sheets (they didn't have sharks. :() are ready for pickup and Jake will get them on the way home, and a few more sheets are on order. We still need a highchair and will need a new carseat within a few months, but we'd spent all the money in the world by that point, so called it a day.
*Or women. Or possibly stringy teenagers with something to prove. I don't mind, as long as it's not ME navigating the basement steps with a several hundred pound appliance.
