Mondaily with wrench

Starting to feel better - mentally and physically.

Jake and I took a several-mile hike in the woods and saw moose and ravens, and I came back dripping in sweat and coughing up lung pieces, took a nap, and felt much better in general. Health-wise, I am decidedly on the mend and slept like a stone through the entire night without breathing problems. Mind-wise, I still feel rattled. I suspect that I will for a long time.

I've got draft-y things to do for a few hours this morning, and then I will continue my slog through my site. Page at a time, checking and double-checking every lock and hinge and window. I really, REALLY don't want to go through this again. Ever.

I do want to thank you all for your support and lack of blame. I've heard nothing from customers so far but thanks for the headsup, and while I cannot accept that I have no fault here (seriously, I should have known about a security flaw this major. If I were a better programmer with current training, or... if, if, if...), I'm also not going to flog myself for it forever. A little longer, maybe, but not forever.

Saw moose twins this morning out the kitchen window. They crashed along, stopped to look at me, and then went on their way. We had to clear a fallen tree from the driveway so that Jake could get to work - it's been ridiculously windy the past few days. Not stormy... just windy. Very odd and matches my mood.

All for now.
