The problem with leveling up in coding...

... is that there is SO MUCH more I can do now, and I want to do it all.

I want to rip the stitching out of EMG, EMG-Zine, Portrait Adoption, Torn World, Fantastic Portfolios, and the forthcoming Commission-control, and put them all back together in one massive uber-site. I want login to be simple across the board. I want a cross-platform credit and karma system that rewards activity, promotion and general awesome behavior. I want print services seamlessly integrated. I want basic social networking tools without the OMGness of facebook or twitter. I want you to look at a member profile and see their latest portrait for adoption, their latest work in the streamlined giftshop (which mostly shows you where ELSE to buy their work, but also has 'buy here' options for prints and projects like coloring books), their latest favorite article at EMG-Zine, the latest story they wrote for Torn World and a gold star for a piece just accepted to Fantastic Portfolio, as well as a feed for their favorite blog and a twitter widget.

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could use EMG to search your favorite artists and figure out which one of them were offering calendars for 2011, and which services they were using, so you could place just one order to zazzle/lulu/cafepress and get all of the ones you wanted at one shipping cost?

Wouldn't it be cool if you could purchase a general EMG subscription and put your credits towards any of the people providing the content - Torn World, EMG-Zine, etc? How about coloring page downloads for a credit or two apiece? Maybe tubes?

Or, if you got karma for participation and promotional activity, which you could tip to your fellow artists or save up to spend on perks and awesome things?

I could do this...

(I probably shouldn't...)
